STC’s Technology Campus Library to host a metalworking exhibit.

Artist Lecture and Reception: November 7th at 6 p.m.

South Texas College’s Library Art Gallery presents “Facets,” an exhibit featuring a group of artists who work in wearable art and petite sculpture. The artwork in this show is made from different materials and moves away from the idea of commercial jewelry and pushes towards an investigation contemporary art.

This exhibit will be on view September 3 through December 6, 2019, at STC’s Technology Campus Library and will feature jewelry from artists: Gloria Valentina Reyes, Valeria Baltazar, Oscar O. Padrón., Ruxanda Musunoi, and Erica Marie Briones.

The artists will be available for questions during the reception on November 7th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m at the Technology Campus Library Art Gallery located at 3700 W. Military Hwy, Bldg. A in McAllen. Admission is free and open to the public.

STC’s Library Art Gallery Program organizes exhibitions and educational programs to engage student understanding of art and its role in culture, support academic curriculum, and inspire continued education through direct engagement with artists, scholars, and original works of art.
