Author Barbara Renaud Gonzalez visit March 30

libevents-barbaraThis March the South Texas College Library and the Mexican American Studies Program are honored to host award winning author Barbara Renaud Gonzalez Renaud.

Ms. Renaud Gonzalez will be talking about her book Golondrina, why did you leave me? and her other writings. The novel Golondrina, why did you leave me? is part of the Chicana Matters Series from the University of Texas Press. Scholar Irma Mayorga has said that her writing “triumphs even more so due to her deft, exhilarating, and virtuosic command of written language.”

It will be on March 30th starting at 6:00 pm, and it will take place at the South Texas College Library on the second floor in the Rainbow Room. The Library is located in the F-Building of South Texas College which is at 3201 W. Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501.

This visit coincides with the Inaugural Jovita Gonzalez Women’s History Month Lecture Series sponsored by the Mexican American Studies Program of South Texas College.
