South Texas College Library will have a special guest author Dr. Phong Nguyen from the University of Central Missouri on February 13, 2014 at 4pm in the Pecan Campus Library Rainbow Room, which is located at 3201 W. Pecan Blvd in McAllen. There will also be a book signing immediately following the event. Admission to each event is free and open to the public.
Phong Nguyen is editor of Pleiades and author of Memory Sickness & Other Stories. Nguyen teaches fiction and American literature at the University of Central Missouri, where he lives with his wife, the artist Sarah Nguyen, and their three children.
“We are honored and fortunate to be able to host an author of Dr. Nguyen’s intellect at South Texas College,” says author, Joseph Haske,“It’s effortless and rewarding to get lost in his stories; his technique has the ability to appear both ancient and modern, while conveying a thoughtful viewpoint of Asian American culture.”
