Library Art Gallery: Black History Month

STC’s Library Art Gallery is excited to be participating in this year’s Black History Month events by presenting “The Easter Drawings,” an exhibit featuring artworks by Houston-based artist, Lenard Brown.

Brown began this series of drawings two years ago during Lent in order to commemorate the holiest of Christian holidays. His monochromatic drawings of graphite on paper are designed for the viewer to reflect on the architecture of the Christian faith, whether it be Orthodox, Catholic or Protestant.

On Thursday, Feb. 7th, Brown will be presenting two lectures, one at 11:30am and one at 2:30pm (to be held at the Pecan Campus Library’s Rainbow Room on the 2nd Floor). A reception will be held later that evening at 6pm.

Lectures and receptions are always free and open to the public! Please see the flyer below and be sure to share it with your friends and family.
