Purpose of Library Services Procedures Manual

The purpose of this manual is to:

  • explain the context and guidelines for the library's selection, acquisition, provision of access to, and maintenance of its print and non-print materials.
  • serve as a written description of the library's collection and the range of subject matter contained therein.
  • relate the development of the library's collection to the goals and objectives of South Texas College and to the needs of the student body, faculty, and staff.
